The Gray Eyes Project |
"More Than A Thousand Words" |
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As we grow older our vision of the world and our version of beauty changes dramatically. At fifty years old we do not view the world as we did when we were twenty. And so it is as we all continue to age. The Gray Eyes Project is the vision of the world and the version of beauty from the eyes of the oldest of us. |

Step One: Provide senior citizens living in assisted living facilities, with one-time use disposable cameras and have them take photos of the world in which they live. Step Two: Once photos have been taken, volunteers with The Gray Eyes Project collect the cameras and the photos are processed and returned to each photographer. Step Three: Each photographer selects one of their photos, which is enlarged, framed and put on display in the community and here on The Gray Eyes Project web site. |
